Count your blessings

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Refrain:
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
*Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.
[*And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.]

Must Thank God

120/85

For some reason I knew God was going to heal me of my blood pressure..beyond my own efforts of trying to be healthier and more nonchalant about stress and pressures around me..I know God is my healer.

After prayers from many people, I decided to stop taking medication altogether, knowing in my heart that God is in charge, and against my doctor's advice.

So last week I went for a medical checkup at another clinic and my faith in God was confirmed.. I'm healed!! Tho' still a little on high side, the near normal blood pressure testifies of God's grace and love for me.

Amen.Glory to God.

dctalk

Listening to Jason Mraz reminds me of Kevin Max for dctalk. Yeah the folks, they were sounding way ahead of their time in 1995 with "Jesus freak" album, way before the time Linkin Park popularized rap + rock and way before there was "breadtalk" (=D). I remembered listening to their song on cassette tape, yep, old skool.

here's another live version of the song "What if I stumble?" listen to Kevin Max on the chorus...love his voice..=D

Take Over

Only You make me whole,
Give me strength to make me grow
Come Holy Spirit, fall afresh on me..

"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

2 Corinthians 12:9

Thank God that our weakness is a reminder of His grace.
Our vulnerability is a reminder of His reliability

140/92

Oh boy... The title of this post is my blood pressure reading. For those who know how it reads, you know that I'm suffering from this. For those who do not know...:

What do the numbers mean?
Blood pressure is really two measurements, separated by a slash when written down, such as 120/80. You may also hear someone say a blood pressure is "120 over 80."The first number is the systolic blood pressure. This is the peak blood pressure when your heart is squeezing blood out. The second number is the diastolic blood pressure. It's the pressure when your heart is filling with blood--relaxing between beats.A normal blood pressure is 120/80 or lower. High blood pressure is 140/90 or higher. If your blood pressure is between 120/80 and 140/90, you have something called "prehypertension."

So guess what the experts suggest for lifestyle changes:

1.Don't smoke cigarettes or use any tobacco product.
2.Lose weight if you're overweight.
3.Exercise regularly.
4.Eat a healthy diet that includes lots of fruits and vegetables and is low in fat.
5.Limit your sodium, alcohol and caffeine intake.
6.Try relaxation techniques or biofeedback.

Think My major prob is 5 & 6, need to eat less high sodium food (eat less high...haha oxymoron)
and less caffeine (coke and coffee you culprits!!) and destress more...meaning you people stop stressing me!! hahahaha. Take things easy ....I'm still so young.
